Portals and the 12 Languages of The Mind

How to Attract Attention and Influence Mood

Matter is made of just three things: Protons, neutrons and electrons are its constituent components.

But what are constituent components of thought?

In this class, you will learn about communication at its most elemental level. This makes the sculptor a better sculptor, the painter a better painter, the photographer a better photographer, the writer a better writer, the speaker a better speaker. You will learn how humans transmit thoughts and feelings through simple combinations of the 12 Languages of the Mind. You will also learn about portals.

Portals help us move from one state of consciousness to another.

Portals deepen interest in paintings, photographs, stories, movies, restaurants and retail stores.

Portals say, “Come on in. Stay awhile.”

Talented musicians, designers, artists and photographers have an instinctive – although partial – understanding of the 12 languages of the unconscious. Come to this class and we’ll teach you how to do consciously and completely what talented people do unconsciously and incompletely.

Retailers need to understand Portals and the 12 languages because customers prefer to spend time in places where there’s more to explore, the lure of discovery, a promise of adventure. Do you offer these things? In your store, your offices, your decor, your landscaping?

Go to the mall and you’ll see that most of the stores have no entry portal, no doorway. They stand wide open, naked, with nothing hidden or obscured. This makes it easy for you to wander into them, but just as easy to wander out. Stores without doors see a lot of traffic with low curiosity and no commitment.

A door creates a threshold barrier, but once you’ve passed through it you’re insulated from the world you left behind. Customers spend more time in stores with doors. This is just one, teeny-tiny example of the type of thing you’ll learn in this class.

Now let’s talk some more about those constituent components.

A signal received in one language of the mind can reinforce, or contradict, a signal received in another. Signal reinforcement deepens perception. Signal contradiction elevates interest. We’ll teach you how to do both.

The 12 Languages of the Mind supply the components of thought:

  1. Shape – angles send a different message than curves.
  2. Numbers – a language of relativity. Many or few?
  3. Phonemes – sounds represented by letters of the alphabet.
  4. Color – often combined with shape and radiance.
  5.  Proximity – near/far, large/small, left/right, up/down, etc.
  6. Music – any sound that isn’t a phoneme.
  7. Radiance – energy sent outward or pulled inward.
  8. Motion – fast/slow
  9. Symbols – messages with secondary meaning.
  10. Taste – tongues do it.
  11. Feel – skin and muscles do it.
  12. Smell – noses do it.

It is these 12 languages that enable our perceptual realities.

Control the signals and you control the perceptions.

Control the perceptions and you control the conclusions.

Control the conclusions and you win the game.

Let us teach you how to use Portals and the 12 Languages to influence decisions.

Don’t worry, once you’ve seen some examples, you’ll realize this stuff isn’t nearly so complicated as it sounds.

We’ve saved you a room in Engelbrecht House, Lost Boys or Spence Manor, the student mansions on the campus of Wizard Academy. You’ll be here 2 days, 3 nights and return home wiser, deeper, dangerous.

“Everything in the universe is connected, of course.
It’s just a matter of using imagination to discover the links,
and language to expand and enliven them.”
– Tom Robbins
