EWA Diploma in Single Malt Scotch Whisky (2 dates)

In February, 2024, we are hosting TWO sittings for the Diploma in Single Malt Scotch Whisky by Edinburgh Whisky Academy.

Based out of Edinburgh, Scotland, the EWA has built an incredible set of courses focused on various whisky and spirits in the UK. The Diploma is accredited by the Scottish Qualifications Authority which is the national accrediting authority for Scotland, as well as being industry endorsed.

NOTE FOR WIZARD ACADEMY ALUMNI: If you’re an existing Wizard Academy alumnus, there’s no alumni rate for this course because it’s an outside program that we’re hosting. Because of that, we’ve priced it accordingly. We are also not able to allow spouses to attend for free. Spouses are welcome to stay on campus with you, but only allowed in class as tuition-paying students.

Welcome to the Whisky Marketing School’s presentation of the Diploma in Single Malt Scotch Whisky from Edinburgh Whisky Academy.

So what is a Diploma in Single Malt Scotch Whisky?

The Diploma in Single Malt Scotch Whisky consists of seven engaging modules which will give you an independent, in- depth overview of Scotch Whisky as a category.

The course was written and developed by Scotch whisky experts with decades of experience in the industry.

Explore the fascinating history and business of Scotch as well as the laws governing Scotch whisky, before delving into the intricacies of the entire production process.

Discover all there is to know from raw materials and fermentation to distilling and bottling the final spirit.

Completing this course will improve your knowledge and appreciation of whisky considerably, The EWA Diploma in Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a qualification which is recognized by the industry worldwide.

The class will include tastings of whisky to educate on palate as well as to show you examples of how the process affects the taste of the final products.

ASSESSMENT

Each module is assessed throughout the course and candidates need 60% to pass each module

OTHER DETAILS

These classes will be hosted at the Wizard Academy Tower in Austin, TX.

Class begins at 8:30 am and ends at dinner around 6:00 pm both days.

Catered meals will be provided on class days.

After graduation on day two there will be time after class to hang out, possibly visit the Whisky Vault, and socialize until everyone is ready to leave or go to bed.
