Class 1- Intro to Ad Writing
Better writers make better ad writers, better persuaders, better communicators. So I'm going to make you a better writer," Professor Chris Maddock says. "The shortcoming of most creative training is its focus on tricks that are situationally limited. My class will improve your core writing ability, your core strength, so you'll be better in any situation.”
An ad writer's client is paying for every second - seconds that need to be taken advantage of with things as elemental as images that can actually be imagined. Pretty writing just doesn't cut it. There's a big difference in saying, "The distant tractor bounced along the road through the cornfield until it was gone," and, "the tractor, red against the green of the cornfield, bounced along the road that ran to the top of the hill, and into the distance."
You can see that difference, can't you?
It's imaginable.
These are profoundly important techniques for any good writer to understand. Any advanced college writing teacher would agree. The difference between my class and theirs: they’ll have you believe such techniques are attainable only through natural ability.
